The Terminator has always been one of my favourite movies and watching it again, even though the effects and acting are very dated, that's not changed. I was still glued to the screen for every second it was on. The action is still great and the bit in the police station remains one of my favourite action sequences. It shows just how hard it is to stop one of these machines.
Although the prosthetics look a bit crappy now at the time they truly were cutting edge. The robotic skeleton of the T-800 looks fantastic for its time, even if it is a bit wobbly.
The look of this movie is part of the proof that the current trend to use old school techniques for effects is a fantastic idea.
