47 Ronin (2013)

47 Ronin is an awesome movie. As with anything involving Keanu Reeves the acting will be a bit wooden but as the super intelligent people at cracked.com pointed out, that's what we want from a leading man/ woman. Someone easily replaced by us in our fantasies. The whole movie looks fantastic, especially the scenes in Ako when Lord Asano was still alive.

There's a lot of cool looking stuff in this too, possibly the coolest thing in the movie is the giant samurai.

The other giant looks pretty sweet too, though not as cool.

Another thing that looks pretty awesome is the 'demon'. I love how he looks owl-like. He is a bit of a dick though.

Talking about looking good, there's two mega hot women in this movie: Ko Shibasaki plays Mika, the daughter of the murdered Lord Asano.

The other hot woman is Rinko Kikuchi who plays a creepy asshole of a sorceress known only as Witch.

This movie isn't even close to being the best set in medieval Japan but it is worth a watch and it kind of put me in the mood to play Tenchu 2, don't know why.
