Halloween (2007)

There's not a lot of horror remakes that you can say is just as good as the original and Rob Zombie's Halloween is one of them, it took me until 2014 to actually watch this as I avoided watching horror when this movie came out due to a "fall out" with the genre. I recently started watching these types of movies again thanks to my girlfriend. Rob Zombie has shown that just because you're making a remake you don't have to be lazy and that just because it's a remake it doesn't mean it's rubbish.

Rob Zombie with Michael Myers as a child and as an adult.
What makes this movie amazing rather than just ok is the concentration on what makes a serial killer and the look into Michael Myers mind. I love the added obsession with masks and his massive size. He really is imposing. It's a lot scarier than an average sized psycho. As far as I can tell from his movies, Rob Zombie shares my love of massive bad guys and psychology.

The outfit is pretty cool too, looks just like the original.

All you perves out there, don't you worry. There's plenty of good looking women with their bits out too. Just like the slasher movies of old. Including, as always, Sheri Moon Zombie.

Scout Taylor-Compton plays Laurie, Michael's little sister that he comes after in the movie. She's a pretty girl.

I think I might even like this more than the original to be honest.
