Assassin's Creed

Now the original Assassin's Creed isn't my favourite one, might be my least favourite of the series so far. It is however still one of my favourite games. I love the medieval setting and the crusade background. I do love the newer Assassin's Creed games but I think they should stop bringing it forward in time and do another game set further in the past. After all it looks like they listened to the fans and stopped making the modern day bits as important so it no longer matters when the games are set as long as it's still Assassins and Templars. I'm sure the super-fans of the series would love to play as Altaïr again or at least be able to fight knights with the improved games engine. Everyone's main complaint about the fist few games was the fact that even the heaviest armoured knight or lowliest soldier was able to keep up with Altaïr as he ran across the rooftops, taking away the 'only Assassins and highly trained enemies could free run' "fact". Altaïr has always looked awesome though, the Assassins' uniform played a big part in making this franchise massive and cool.

One thing I think that needs to return to the Assassin's Creed world is the Teutonic Templars. Even if it is just one guy in a later age wearing the armour cause he's a bit nuts and takes the whole thing too literally. I do miss taking down the Templars.

If you haven't played the Assassin's Creed games yet it's worth playing them in order of release.
