Even with all it's mistakes, that no one really cared about back then, this movie still looks and sounds fantastic. The music and the sounds of the dinosaurs are iconic and even today's younger generations recognize them. As for how the dinosaurs looked, this was 21 years ago and the dinosaurs still look awesome today. Yes, now, with our trained eyes we can spot the 'creases' but it is impressive for it's time. Especially since a lot of movies that came out after looked more fake than the original dinosaur movies with tortoises with foam spikes glued to them and T-Rex's made out of clay. I still think of the first time we see the T-Rex every time it rains and I'm in a car.
Then there's the park itself. The whole place looks amazing and I'd love to be able to explore a real version of the park or at least a movie accurate video game. I'd love to see the visitor centre most of all, they really didn't spare any expense: the fossils on display in the main entrance, the murals on the walls and my personal favourite, the dinosaur 'fossils' carved into the concrete pillars in the dining area. The colour scheme is fantastic too, especially on the vehicles. I can't stress how much I want one of the electric Jurassic Park tour cars.
Being under 10 at the time I had no idea why I stared at Dr. Sattler when she was on screen, now I know. Laura Dern is still a good looking woman today but Jurassic Park is where I think she is at her hottest. Gotta love those legs.
Oh yes, Shoot her! SHOOT HEEEER!
