Alone in the Dark has been my second favourite horror game franchise since 2001. I've always loved the atmosphere of these games, it's classic horror at its best. I wasn't expecting much from this release but I like it almost as much as New Nightmare. I also love that it's an open world game set in Central Park, New York.
The game play is quite similar to Alan Wake so if you like that game you might like this one too. Just like Alan Wake the enemies can only be killed after or by exposure to light. The look pretty cool too and they are easier to fight than you'd expect.
I still love the atmosphere of this game.
